The rite of Tajut
The choice to produce wine in Friuli was born for several reasons, but the frame of my design is always passion.
This area of Friuli was the place of my first work after university so there is an emotional bond that I have combined with its recognized wine-growing value and reasons related to the consequences of climate change on wines.
What I had not considered was that the purchase would also cost me a few unscheduled morning hangovers...unaware of the fact that often here the sales preliminaries take place in friendly contexts - most of the time in the house face to face with the seller - that at any hour you meet will always start with "do you want a cut"?
And obviously the question is rhetoric.
At that point you - who feel exactly like Aldo in "Three Men and a Leg" in the scene of the cadrega - depict a machete on your back, instead a bottle, strictly of Friulano or Schioppettino, and two glasses materialize in front of you.
Once the spine has been severed, you think you will get away with a couple of sips of courtesy, and you will leave the chair only when the bottle is finished, and equally divided: because the Friulian drinks in company and is generous, and above all does not accept a refusal to the offer of "tajut".
Wine is sociality and emotion, it doesn't belong only to those who have nose but to those who have heart and sense of sharing.
Every good wine is passion, we want to share with you what we put in our bottles welcoming you in this corner of the Colli Orientali. You can taste our first line: fresh and young, both for the visual impact with evocative labels that each tell a different story, and because they are wines that express liveliness and pleasantness.
You can then have the pleasure of trying our premium line that expresses itself with elegant and distinctive labels and with aromas and bouquets that tell the terroir in its deepest meaning.
